Titanic

There was a book written in 1898 by Morgan Robertson before the Titanic sank in 1912. The book was about a ship called the Titan that had similar dimensions to the Titanic. There are lots of similarities to the Titanic: They were both going too fast; the Titan was going 25 knots, and the Titanic was 22 1/2 knots. Both ships had more than half of their passengers die. They both had too few lifeboats: the Titan had 24, and the Titanic had 20. They both hit an iceberg on the starboard side. They both had a maximum capacity of 3000 people. There were several differences, but the similarities outnumber them.
